Injury Prevention Programs
Injury is the number one cause of hospitalization and death in children. We are working with local and national partners to implement community oriented prevention programs consisting of targeted education and proven intervention strategies. With these data driven programs, we are reducing the burden of injury in our community.
Shattered Dreams is a two day, school-based program that promotes
responsible decision-making among high school students regarding
underage drinking and impaired driving.

Madrina-Padrino Traffic Safety Project
Enlisting community-based organizations (CBOs) to serve as madrinas and padrinos, or trusted friends, who pledge to ensure the community's safety and well-being and to counsel, advocate for, and strengthen families.
